You define the criteria and weightings — distance from campus, job role, accessibility needs, or any other factors. When someone applies, the system calculates their score automatically based on the information they provide. Applications are ranked by score, and permits are allocated to the highest-scoring applicants up to your quota.

Yes. You can create as many permit types as you need — academic staff, support staff, postgraduate students, undergraduate students, visitors, contractors, and more. Each type can have its own application form, scoring criteria, quota, validity period, and access rules.

Permits can be set to expire at the end of each academic year, requiring renewal. You can also integrate with student records systems to automatically revoke permits when someone leaves. The waitlist is then notified, and the next eligible applicant can be offered the space.

Visitors pay from their phone using our Pay for Parking feature. They enter a location code and their registration number, and the system shows them the tariff. For conferences and open days, you can pre-register visitors so their parking is automatically validated when they arrive.

Yes. MyCarPass supports unlimited sites from a single dashboard. You can have different permit rules, tariffs, and enforcement settings for each campus. Staff permits can be valid across all sites or restricted to specific locations — whichever suits your policy.

No. MyCarPass uses ANPR (number plate recognition) to validate permits automatically. The camera reads the vehicle registration as it enters, checks it against the permit database, and opens the barrier if there's a valid permit. No stickers, no paper permits, no dashboard displays.
